Not sure why people are so soft on these cheating scumbags. If you run a race dishonestly, knowing your name, photos and results are going to be made public (meaning you don't own them), you risk getting DQd and ruining your reputation. You deserve every bit of scrutiny that comes your way. Being an attention whore is a double edged sword. You can't get upset when the bad stuff is exposed. If you care about that, you need to guard your reputation carefully instead of letting your narcissism guide you. And if you do get caught, you can still come clean and move on.
In these cases there is always collateral damage. No matter what doubler or any other whistleblower does they will be criticized. People are talking about a "better process", but there is no perfect one when it comes to these things. I believe in zero tolerance for this kind of crap. Those who cheat are putting their reputation and family name on the line. They see articles left and right and know it's just wrong.
Stop whining and let this guy blog whichever way he likes to. He's not doing anything illegal as far as I can see. My name was once associated with some other a$$hole's problem and somebody I know asked me if it was me. The answer was simply no. I don't have a problem with that, I'm a grown man.
For the THOUSANDTH time. No one is saying the cheaters should escape punishment. It's a strawman argument.
My issue is whether the punishment fits the crime?
If you think any punishment fits the crime put up your personal information and lets examine your whole life?
Then we will have you explain any time that you had done something immoral, illegal, questionsble or unreasonable. If you don't want to seem to say that you are soft too.
Derek. double or whoever he posts as should realize the people are perfectly free to criticize him. He needs to toughen up.
In fact I wonder if this is Doubler himself.
