Interesting that, despite the organizers' statement that the meet(s) are "designed to provide top American track and field athletes with a unique opportunity to compete on U.S. soil during the summer" there were 6 foreign athletes drafted, nearly 10%.

I have to think that if depth of quality existed among the registrants for the draft, then I wouldn't be seeing so many unfamiliar names among the draftees.

You need to google the names then. Every event is loaded with studs. Either top performers thus far in 2016 or former World/Olympic team members. Re-define "hardcore".
