Update on Galen: He got in some 200s at the Nike track yesterday

When Rupp got his silver in London, he covered the last 400 in 53 point. You want to kick in the Olympic 10K, you better have some quick intervals under your belt, yes?

The trials, the 10,000 is first, then the 5. Maybe Rupp wants to qualify for 3 events. Then he'll run the 10 and the marathon at the games. We'll see.

WAS in Flagstaff with Mo. Per his snapchats the past few days, he is most definitely in Portland.

And this has been covered many times over on these boards and people like to conveniently ignore it, but Mo likes to do his base training at altitude. He went to Kenya (and was accused of doping), then went to Ethiopia (and was accused of doping), and is now just staying in Flagstaff (I think I've seen this movie before - LRC will probably accuse him of doping). When he is in Portland during his base training, he does most/all of his training on a treadmill in an altitude chamber. Once it is time to start doing more race-specific workouts, he will be training along side Galen. The net of this is that Mo is certainly still a complete member of the Oregon Project, whether the trolls on here want to believe it or not.

The trees are obviously made of artificial plastic. Nike would not have real trees.

The real question is whether any of them survived the ghastly accident that must have happened. There's Rupp and Moser at the 4x4 exchange zone, barreling toward Cain running the other direction 10 meters away at the finish line. Her "overstride" is really her hitting the brakes because she just saw them coming. The photo is literally less than a second before the collision.

The other mystery is how Rupp and Moser were photographed in the same exact place at the same time. Are they really the same person?

The track is clearly elevated above the level of the ground, so there's some space below it to fit fake plastic roots to make sure the fake plastic trees stay in place.

Two athletes in two different cycles of training with different late winter goals.

Mo is pre-selected for his Oly team, Galen will have to race to make his track team.They will cycle again together post trials as the end goal may be the same depending on Galens outcome at the trials.
