Why does Alexi Pappas get so much flack for running for Greece but not Justine Fedronic who did the same thing for France?
Because Americans are racist prejudiced pigs.

1. Fedronic is much better looking
2. Have you asked the French how they feel about an American taking one of their spots?
How did it take us a page and a half of posts for some to just say it (see #1). Duh!

I'm confused. Isn't it a given that she can't compete at US Championships or for US prize money if she's representing another country? Is this even in question? Even if you have dual citizenship, you still can only race for one country at a time.
Name 1 race Pappas has ever run for Greece?

Thank you for that lovely response.
I believe if Alexi wants to compete for Greece in the Olympics more power to her. However, all actions comes at a cost. I would like to see that anyone that competes for another country in international competition forfeit the right to represent the United States or compete in our national championships.
This is why. wrote:
Justine Fedronic actually grew up in France. Alexi Pappas has possibly never even been to Greece or spoken a word of Greek until 5 minutes ago.
Nobody 'grows up' in France. They 'get the f u c k out of' France.
Even Obama has thrown shade on Pappas... This all just breaks my heart, seems like she has had to fight so hard for everything in life, and no one wants to give her the credit she deserves...
I hate Felix Sanchez and Alexi Pappas. They both suck for growing up,living, and training in the U.S.A. and representing another country in the Olympics. Well deserving of all the crap they get and don't deserve to be US citizens!

Proof of this? I'm pretty sure she's a US citizen.
^I think the implication of this tweet is that she became a US citizen this year.
Is she half black?
You should petition USATF to make this a rule. Wait, it's already the rule.

I feel like your response was kind of pointless. She learned French because she's French and she lived in France for the first 4th of her life. I highly doubt it's more complicated than that. But at the same time, none of this matters because she's a French citizen and that's it.
