German's about to start the 1500m
German 7th in 3:44.88
I feel sorry for that Filip guy who crossed the ocean to win the third heat by more than 2 seconds.
I'm assuming that he came here to be pulled along in a pack.

Looks like he is back to mediocre performances again

Nice to see UO has him going backwards. Ran 3 seconds faster a year ago
Why has no one figured out a way to get a pirated stream from flotrack?
East coasters worried about running well past their bedtime could just stay on the east coast to race.
-Diego Estrada entered in the 1500. Interesting.
-Patrick Tiernan in 5000 (Not at Penn Relays). Finished 3rd at Aussie Olympic trials 5. Perhaps a quick time here gets him on the team. Only 1st was guaranteed a jersey.
-Jaordan Hassay in 10,000. Has she run any low key 5's leading up to this?
Man, I don't feel like watching any of this meet. Someone else want my login while I watch Game of Thrones?
Anyway, here are the 1500 results. German's race was won by Filiip Ingebrigsten. He's the middle of the Igenbrigsten brothers. His older bro Henrik was 5th in the Olympics and his younger brother ran 3:49 as a 14 year old!!!

Courtney Frerichs - the NCAA runner-up last year- ran her first sub-9:30 to win the steeple, destroying Kipp in the process.
Olympic standard is 945 but most of the women had it.

3rd best ever NCAA performer (5th best performance) for Frerichs
Were the men steeplechase heats weird? The guys that finished 1st an 2nd in heat 4 would have finished 4th and 5th in heat 2? Is that normal?
Someone fell in the fast heat. I wasn' twatching. Anyone know who it was?
Steeple started off slow. Ferlic is leading some 6 minutes in it. 614 high with 2 laps to go.
7:20 1 to go . Milne and then Kebenei and Hughes.
Bayer went down in the water pit and barrel rolled out fine, but behind.
Milne belly flopped into the pit and looks a bit worse for the wear.
Canada's Matt hughes, who was 6th at worlds in 2013 and 8th last year, took the lead after the last water jump from Kebenei and got the win. Kebenei 2nd.
The 2010 and 2011 NCAA champ Hughes wasn't an Olympian in 2012 so barring an injury he'll be a first time Olympian later this summer.
Milne did a massive face plant on the last water jump.
I'm going to assume Bayer bit it early based on the time? But didn't see it. Yes, I've confirmed Bayer fell early.
A new NCAA leader and PB for Mason Ferlic. Previous pb of 8:33.95.

Weather.com is reporting it's still 80 degrees in palo alto. That will drop to 62 by 10 pm but that's warmer than most years.
Stanford has a good preview up up for the meet - very good by college SID standards:

Too bad for Bayer. Was he hurt this year or something?
Women's 800 was enteratining. The rabbit went out in 58.52.I'd say Versey was out in 59 flat But i wasn't a great 59 flat as they went like 28-31.
The entire last lap was a battle between Vessey and Chrishuna Williams (nike, formerly of Arkansas). They ran side by side for virtually the entire last 200 until Vessey faded in the final 20 meters. Willaims finally pulled ahead and was pumped and put her arms up to celebrate and was nearl beaten by former Stanford runner Justine Fredonic
Williams had reason to celebrate as she got a big PB of 1.03 seconds.
