I'm going to speculate that they didn't focus on enough strength stuff in the winter and that's why we saw him go backwards for a couple months. I'm no expert though, just a speculator. It's good to see him putting down a decent time.
I definitely think he can qualify to Eugene, but I don't expect him to be top 6 there either. Managing athletes is difficult, especially when they are young and you don't know how they respond to certain stimuli. Hopefully him and his coach have learned some things and he will move forward and be better than ever in the near future.
