Christo with a big lead at 58 minutes in. Apparently made a big move at 10 miles.

Christo maybe 5 sec in front of a pack of 4. I could only identify Faubles in the chase pack. Probably around 11M
Who cares, the weatherman grew up on a horse farm.
In other news . . . first mention of Christo Landry. Almost an hour into race.
57 minutes in they hand it over to Josh Cox for 5 minutes of running coverage.
"There goes the leader" screeches the chick commentator. This is painful.
Harder, harder, faster, faster says Cox, who also just said the womens lead pack was "hot" and then corrected himself to 'hot pace'.
is it dangerous to look back over your shoulder? You could fall. You could trip!

Dude didn't even know the women haven't finished yet.
Did Desi start the race?
"Tell us about the woman that finished." -non-runner man commentator
They haven't finished yet... They're at mile 12. - Cox

This has to be absolutely the worst race coverage I have ever seen. I wouldn't even call it coverage. The announcers are making me cringe. All ads and interviews with people on the course and sponsors. I have seen 0 women and some fleeting glimpses of the mens lead pack. Unbelieveable. What a waste of my time.
Here Here! And again, (makes me sick to my stomach) they do not show the finish after the winner crosses. WTF? When are these "experts" finally going to realize there is a race out there.
They say with "credibility" that someone said he "took off like a rocket" at 10. No splits, no sense of what really happened. It's easy to tell these folks know nothing about running.
Such a disappointment.
The worst is that they do not show the finish line for a full minuts after the winner finishes.
GARBAGE. Luckily I only caught the last 1.5 miles.
The worst was when the reporter with the selfie stick that they showed earlier sprinted behind Landry for the last 100 meters. It looked liked he crossed over from the 5k. The station actually went with his cell phone footage for a couple of seconds.
Tara about to take it, I see Desi about 20 seconds back
Woke up just in time to see the last 10 minutes. You are just lucky they have Josh Cox giving some info. All the othe people are the regular news team who know very little about running. This race is on the local tv which is pretty amazing for a road race.

Same reporter now jumps into Christo's interview.
Yes, it's nice that they covered it, or attempted to anyway. I'm just sorry I cant get that hour of my life back. Someday I'm gonna be on my death bed wishing I did something other than listen to a road race commentator utter the phrase "what are we doing now?"
So, is this a ploy to reduce objections to the new paywall? As in, at least the usatf.tv/ runner space coverage will show the -- I don't know - runners?
Why can't USATF negotiate with race directors and say you don't get the race unless you provide minimally acceptable media coverage? Crappy coverage of the men. And, I know the women don't get a lot of love on these boards but how can there be a championship race that does not show a single step of the women's race? I get the local interest angle, but if you are going to call it a national championship, then there should be some coverage of the people competing in the race.
Apparently right, because the race shows more footage of the casters and the people not running than the actual race.
Such a pathetic broadcast; why even call it a race, call it a town festival being broadcast. What a joke roadracing has become to tv and streaming audiences.
Female announcer: She (Tara) finished in 1:10:XX. Is that good?
Now that we got all those fast runners out of the way we can show the real runners. The local runners. The runners who make this event possible. Bunny ears, running for health, free pizza after the finish, that's really what this race is about.

Sadly, you are right. Tune into coverage of the 2016 Utica Boilermaker 15K in July if this nightmare wasn't enough and you want more.

I watched the Las Vegas marathon one year and it was shown by the local tv station. It was so bad it was funny. The lady that did most of the talking today is the 11 pm news anchor. She's kind of ditzy about everything so there was no chance she knew anything about competitive running.
If anyone has a results link that would be appreciated.
