Man.... I'd hate to be a NYNJ guy. For one, this high schooler spanked them today. Collegiates routinely beat up on all of them except Merber. I do love me some Ford Palmer though.

In my make believe world? Well, I was off by .478 seconds from memory (I think this figure in my head came from Ryan Hall's actual hs pr). But 1.08x as a conversion figure is just an approximation, a guess. There's no strong justification for this exact figure, so don't make much a big deal of it. With that figure, it converts to 3:42.22. As for Webb running 3:38, you can't count the same race twice (that was enroute 3:38.26 to 3:53.43) and make it be two sub 4's or sub 4 equivalents.

Um no....he ran 3:38 at USA's.
Robby Andrews was slated to pace the 1500m according to FloTrack but I don't see his name in the results as a DNF or otherwise. Anybody have a Robby report from the meet? I'm curious as to why he apparently scratched. Did FloTrack just have it wrong?
Was there Andrews paced through 1100

Thanks.
USA's is after high school.
It counts as a HS time as do all times ran in the Summer before the fall XC season.

It officially counts. These aren't debatable things you keep incorrectly posting.
Does Hunter have adequate foot speed to be s high level miler??

We'll find out in a week or two when he races the 800. In any case, if he doesn't have adequate foot speed, he'll still be a damn good 5k runner.

This was an obvious troll but I felt the need to point out how very wrong you were about their performances. While this meet was a season opener for most all of these athletes, they still performed well even without such qualification. I won't take the time to go through them individually but a few of these athletes are even coming back from short lay offs due to injury. All in all, I don't believe there was a single collegiate team that had such a successful outing at the meet.
it is also important to note that even these "B" tier athletes are looking to peak later than the collegians in June or July and so a performance 1 - 2 seconds off of a PR in mid april is definitely a solid step towards those big PBs in June. The bottom line is Gags is as good as any coach out there and willing to work with a wide spectrum of athletes to develop them to the highest level. There is some presumption that because these athletes run for NJNY track club they're professionals but they are simply hard working men and women looking to improve as runners. Gags takes domestically and locally good runners and elevates their performance. Obviously not everyone can make it to that level but even without the data, I'm sure that Gags is better than average at helping athletes make that jump. He is doing that with minimal resources and most of these athletes working jobs to support themselves or attending graduate school to finish their educations.
