Yes, in fact God is the ORIGINAL CrossFit coach. Don't you remember? He had his son workout constantly by carrying a huge Cross around, and man did he get ripped. Now THAT's how you CrossFit.

I love how XFIT_CLOWN is so much more impressed with Hall now that he has achieved what literally millions of people have achieved (put on some decent muscle mass, and looks pretty good after lifting while flexing and taking a selfie) than he was when Hall accomplished some running achievements that literally .0001% of the population is even capable of and was capable of scaring some of the greatest distance runners on the planet.

What you describe is bodybuilding.

CrossFit is all about PERFORMANCE. How strong, how fast, how explosive. Basically the decathlon translated to the 21st century, but more modern. And more interesting. And not as lame.

That you get BUFF, SWOLE, RIPPED, YOKED, JACKED, SHREDDED (pick your favorite), is just a side effect of CrossFit. A nice one though.

Look at this for example. You got the strongest athlete known to mankind, yet he looks really good, too.

I was more "jacked" than that at age 15. I bet my 15-year-old self could beat the crap out of present-day Hall. But no American has run faster for 13.1/26.2

It's fine he wants to try something else now his running days are behind him, but I think posting on social media in this case, and in general, is dumb.

His twitter made it sound like he was done with the bulk up phase, and was going to start cutting weight. Will he be a bodybuilder in the future? He was using that kind of language.

What he needs is to add a nice chunk of BULK first, to get the so sought after BUFFNESS first.

Former talented long distance joggers like Hall are HARDGAINERS. He will have no problem losing the weight when it's time to.

He claims he had Testosterone issues, yet he starts lifting and gains major muscle.

He didn't have a T-issue. He had a motivational issue. He could no longer dig deep and work hard and recover as he aged. He was pretty much burnt out comparing himself to his past self.

Why would Asics still want him?

Whoever gets to slam Sara Hall on a daily basis is a winner in my book.

Actually I DO get it 100%. What YOU described is yes, what crossfit PRETENDS to be (about PERFORMANCE). But in reality, all they ever talk about is what you always talk about:

And this also explains why they workout without shirts and constantly snap photos of themselves and each other and then post on the web every 5 seconds. (and most of course don't even look particularly fit)

Sure they are brainwashed into thinking they are great athletes too, but that's just a cover for their real goal: physical appearance, and convincing themselves they are "BADA$$ WARRIORS!!" and that they are "KILLING IT!!!" and they "TOTALLY ROCKED THE WORKOUT " , etc, etc (insert macho catch-phrase or slogan)

The saddest thing about this transformation of Msr. Hall is that in spite of all his international travel and life experiences, he apparently was unable to transcend the values of his Inland Empire, "white trash" upbringing.

He has now embraced the cap-wearing, muscled, "Metal Mulisha" lifestyle.
