Runner tracker on BAA shows everyone as "not started yet" -- anyone else having this problem?
Igarashi has no hope of even a top 10 finish but good for him. Running with some guts, bad judgement, but gutsy.

Commentator dismissive of that Japanese leader forgetting what happened with Meb.
Meb did NOT go from the gun. It was 10-15K into the race before he went. Also, he's Meb, not a stocky guy running with a foot slamming gait.
Larry is just worthless. His content is painful to listen to and he doesn't even offer anything to the 5 or 6 nonrunners tuning in. When he tries math it's even worse. Just call out mile splits, but otherwise STFU
Agreed, seems warmer than 'excellent'

I have this same problem. Was hoping it updates when they cross the 5k, but haven't seen it yet.
Boston Marathon starts DOWNHILL dude. So it's not just slow, it's damn slow. Do you even know these courses? Do you even have any clue what you're talking about? This is rhetorical of course.

This has to be the slowest start to a major marathon I've seen in more than a decade.
I guess you didn't watch in 2012.
18:49 for 1st 5k in 2012, 18:22 today.
http://www.letsrun.com/2012/bostonwomenresults-0416.phpIt was really hot in 2012.

baa.com isn't their website. It's baa.org

Mine was fine until I read this post, and now it keeps pausing.
through 4 miles, pace still north of 5 min/mile. Reminder, the BAA Boston Marathon for the uniformed starts downhill so this is really damn slow.
Have the women picked up the pace finally? Looks like all the white girls are gone, despite their excellent arm carriage.

LOL, keep backpedaling. In NYC in 2014 they hit two miles in like 10:30 so you're wrong about that too
Anybody seen Abdi Nageeye in the leading group?
Elite men hit 5 miles north of 25 min. Literally jogging but some troll on this thread insists this happens every major race. Uh ok. Troll harder dude.

You've never watched NYC then
Yea, he has never watched NYC or any previous Bostons. It's ok. We are very welcoming to new runners and hobby joggers here! ;)
