Boston - I goofed up - chafing already 11 hours to recover skin?

Thinking back on my race prep I prolly should not have shaved between the cheeks right before I left home. Some friends told me to shave my legs which totally helped with todays wind but maybe I took it too far. Lesson learned!

Shaving can backfire horribly if:

1. You're not used to it and you irritate your skin.

2. You don't shave close enough to the race and end up with prickly ass whiskers on race day.

I think one of the other posters is right and this is probably some kind of jock itch or fungus. I'd recommend getting that medicated with a commercial cream or powder product ASAP. Cruex, if they still make it (very cold spray)

It won't kill you, but it can take awhile to get over it.

I had it in high school bad and it was somewhat heat and sweat sensitive. I haven't seen it in 30 years since, so it seemed like an unusual condition to get just driving.

I think I can rule out STD as I am well into post nuptial cutoff. Todays's shower was one of the most painful I have ever had but better than yesterday's. Returned the car this morning told my friend that I was sorry I spilled cranberry juice on the drivers seat and would pay him to have it professionally cleaned. Did not want to gross her out.

Actually ran faster than expected. Out for now till next year.
