I punted a chipmunk once.
I punted a chipmunk once.
I once was attacked by a pot bellied pig (PBP) on one of my runs. Although these animals look cute they, when trained properly, are vicious creatures. In the case of my attack I was jogging peacefully down a neighborhood road when a neighbor spied me approaching. I saw him open his front door and yell, 'Sic him Matilda.' Not knowing what was to transpire, I continued on my peaceful jog. When out of nowhere I was brutally savaged by the PBP. While the name Matilda may not incite fear, this little pig was a man-eater. I feel fortunate that I emerged relatively unscathed. Now I run with a gun.
In a mile race I almost always have a bear jumping onto my back.
Growing up in California -- a few times by dogs, lots of times by bees, once by small but very aggressive birds on Catalina Island.
Running on country roads during college in Ohio -- many times by farm dogs, a few close calls with hawks, and repeatedly by the coach's dog. Maybe he was trying to tell me something.
Since then -- more dogs of course, three rednecks in a pickup on a country road in Indiana, bats after dark, and some a$$hole who nailed me in the back with a salt shaker.
Got attacked by a dog off leash. Gave his hippy owner some hell and continued on. Those of you who are getting attacked by hawks need to gain some weight, you look to much like prey.
attacked by dog, many times. also cats crazy animals, you never know when it jumps in front of you
Owls have clawed my scalp many times.
An animal on a a run?
Animals go for runs?
Bats.
I was running at night with no light on a paved city trail which ran through the woods. I was wearing earbuds (which was dumb in and of itself), and I guess the bats were attracted to the vibrations of the headphones and started swarming my head.
It sucked, and since it was an out-and-back I had to run back by the bats. This time, I paused my music and escaped scot-free.
After my run, I had an odd craving for blood.
