no
i assume he has done some speedwork
i didn't say he has done 2 months of speedwork which woud be nonsense in mid-april where he has no serious races to win
you plucked 2 months of speedwork out of thin air
as far as we know he maya only done a coupla weeks of speedwork
no
what is not true is you making up 2 months of speedwork when in fact you have no clue what duration he has done
he said only "i have done some speedwork"
no mention of duration
he says "working on strength" also, indicating weights
you cannot assume 2 months seeing as he says he is now running a 400 in couple of weeks & to break 400wr this year is "realistic"
no
he is a 400/200 guy
nonsense
no mention of duration & to assume 2 months or more is ludicrous
winter for a 400 guy is about endurance work
th speedwork gets added on in the spring, probably even in may/june in previous years
he says he has done some speedwork but it coud be only a matter of a couple of weeks + much better quality weight-training in winter
no
he expected 20.0/20.1 from interview
this indicates whatever speedwork he did he didn't expect any shocking results
that indicates no great duration of speedwork as he wouda said that he expected a time well below 20 as he had done long stretch of speedwork
400 guys don't do lot of speedwork in winter
no
his base endurance shoud basically be in place
that is what winter is about & he has a decade+ of quality endurance in his legs already
he will do much more speedwork next few more months
utter nonsense
he coud go out there right now & run 43.4 / 43.5 in drake relays if wind is 0 & he wants to run flat-out
i woudn't be at all surprised if he busts a 43.3 there as that i believe is his current upper limit before he puts in another 3/12 of solid work
no
once again
go fetch any elite guy who ran his fastest 200 in mid-april
he may not run another flat-out 200 this year, but his intrinsic 200 will be 19.6 at worst by trials
nonsense
butch reynolds ran 43.29 & had 20.46pb !!!
nearly 1s slower than you suggest
of course this shows what nonsense some pbs are as butch had to have something like 19.7 ability when he ran 43.29
yes
lashawn coud run as fast as 43.3 right now
that 20.8 figure is nonsense
there was no official iaaf publication of the intermediate splits
i have seen the "research" & it is some website which used vid freeze-frame analysis
that is easy for 300 split as can be estimated from the 100m line with 0.3s clock error
however, the 200 estimate is nonsense as no track markings for lashawn at 200m point : 21.2s according to clock
even if 20.8 is vaguely correct, it shows you are clueless if you think that can't be split off 20.1 ability if you have enormous endurance as that was all lashawn brought to that meet
newhouse who ran caballo to a panic with 44.40 to 44.26 in '76 ran a suicidal 20.6 !!! in a 44.1 in '72 & i doubt newhouse was quicker than a 20-low guy
a 20-high split in a 43.6 is perfectly possible off intrinsic 20.1 speed
