Btw what's your 5K best?
Let's put it this way. My 10k best from Junior year of HS is under 34. On the (slower) roads. 5 years younger than her, I regularly ran her 5k pace for twice that far.
She is laughably bad for someone who's over 20 now and deserved much more criticism than she gets.
She is also arguably the greatest female high school cross country athlete of all time. Hopefully she will be able to at some point in her collegiate career fully recover from the injuries that sidelined her as a senior.
This is her first time racing after dealing with years of injuries, and your statements about her are actually sickening. Why you think a tremendously talented athlete is deserving of criticism for getting injured is beyond me, and your initial sentiments make it sound like you've got some kind of screwed up vendetta against the kid. Chill out--she ran faster her junior year of high school than you'll ever run in your life, and even if she doesn't get back to that level, she will be remembered as amongst the greatest HS runners of all time.
