That said, far too much is made of what brand people are wearing. Aside from the athletes getting paid to wear the brand, who really cares or remembers?
I used to like showing up at local road races in old nylon shorts, a ripped t shirt, and off brand shoes and beating most of the sponsored runners.
I go the other route. Showing up @ local road race wearing skechers, under armour, fuelbelt, oakley sunglasses, compression socks.... and totally blasting everyone out of the water in the 5k. Especially the nerds that thought they were soo cool in their bum-mode off brand nylon shit. Im not kidding either.
