That's a good idea because the steeple is clean.
Only if the russians and ethopians are banned.

Oh.
I didn't watch. Couldn't be any less interested.
Everyone knew those Chinese women in the 90s were doped. No one ever doubted it or second guessed it. It was openly and widely discussed for two decades.
Then comes along Dibaba, smashes those commie times, and we're supposed to believe its real?
Couldn't be less interested.
This has been done before - not long ago the French guy did the 1500 & 3000 s/c double at the European Champs in Zurich 2014. Won both but got dq for taking his singlet off down the home straight celebrating. Benebbad.

I really hope she does switch to steeple this year. I think that is still her best event. She is almost a lock for a medal in Rio if she does decide to switch. Anyone if the double in 1500m and steeple is even possible.
It's not her best even that is the mile and 1500m
The only reason to do the steeple would be because the competion is weak in the womens steeple compared to the mens. I still can't see her winning a gold medal world level at it though and she would struggle to medal
You do realize that she is a two time world medalist in the 1500, right? Why coulnd´t she medal in the steeple? She is quite good at it.
Also, if the event is so weak, why doesn´t the UK have any legitimate contenders in the steeple, men or women? Simpson was a freak of nature running the steeple. I would bet on her for a gold....maybe she doesn´t win, but that is what betting is about, taking a risk.
RioGold, did you notice if Jenny was actually jumping the barriers? Wonder if she would be running around them, but just wanted to get her training in with the steeplers?

Definitely jumping them.
double negatives..so you are interested?

Does anyone know Wetmore or Burroughs? Or even Simpson? Rather than speculate, someone should simply ask her.

Why do you think I said her best event is the mile/1500!
Quite good is not enough to medal at the Olympics

Seriously bro? You try and make fun of him for poor grammar, when in fact, he wrote it correctly, and you apparently need to learn how to read. "Couldn't be less interested" is not a double negative. What it means is that he is so uninterested that he literally could not be less interested. In other words, his interest is zero.
This is a fake post because everyone in Boulder knows that only the CU team and the Wetmore coached pro athletes are allowed to use the CU track.
No everybody knows the track is open to everyone two early mornings a week.
And the fact Tuesday is one of the mornings it's open to the public and this thread was started on a Tuesday actually adds a bit of credibility. Not to mention the creek path goes right by Potts field so you can see what's going on there even when the track isn't open to the public.

I will believe Dibaba doesn't do the 1500 when it happens. I have no idea why she would volunteer to run an event (5000) where she was beaten at Worlds last year and isn't as prestigious as the event where she is the reigning golg medallist and world record holder.
If Jenny wins steeple gold, do I get credit? I've been hyping that for the last year.

Yep. And I'm not affiliated with CU, so I'm forced to slog at 7 AM with the peons.
Of which I am definitely one.
