You had me on the Run Gum thing. I even wanted to believe that Salazar would test drugs on his sons.
Run Gum was good, as was Putin. I was believeing, then.. the Salazar one threw me off to make me remember it's April Fools
I too thought it could be valid. Especially the whole "little" logo thing. Sounded very USATF in their belittling attitude.
I honestly thought it was the weakest page in a while. I guess it was good to trick people, but I didn't find any of it really funny.
should have done something like Salazar & Schumacher to make WWE appearance.

We shall see if anything gets picked up other news outlets. Last year, the Pac 12 network fell for one of our stories.
http://www.letsrun.com/news/2015/04/pac-12-network-oregon-student-newspaper-fall-for-letsrun-com-april-fools-day-hoax/In 2010, another news source believed our article about Obama hating the NOP.
I think there have been lots of other stories picked up by others.
This year, with the Russian one we were a little worried someone in Russia wouldn't know what April Fool was and it would be picked up by a Russian news agency. Thus we made sure the article said he wasn't involved. A staffer proposed we write it saying he was involved and we said, "Are you crazy? That's dangerous."
I did think for a second that 26.2 stickers with a space to write your time could be a good idea.
Then I remembered that people are not to be trusted, and you would see some outlandish bullshit.
Good mix/delivery of jokes this year.... For some reason I believed the run gum, saw a few (like the AlSal) that made me remember it was April fool's... Then started to believe a few others before I realized they're all jokes.
Well done
Flotrack got me on the homepage - if you havent already give it a go.

And that's supposed to be funny? To 10 year olds maybe?

Dude that actually happened. Salazar admitted to testing testosterone on his son to see how much it would take to trigger a false test in the case of "sabotage". That's why it was under truth is stranger section.

Thank you! You might also enjoy this Friday Flashback of past BBTM April Fools:
http://bringbackthemile.com/news/tag/april+foolsMy only excuse was that it was 5 am and I was sitting on the can. But I readily admit that I fell for the Run Gum story 100%. I totally forgot the date and the letsrun tradition, even though I have been going to the site for years. Well played.
