Nah, US ran 3:02.13 in Sopot, 2nd fastest all time, in 2014. Today's run is #3 all time. Still impressive.

It was the fastest official time. Watch a video of the race. They clearly say it was a WR. Wikipedia says the IAAF rejected the 3:01.96 because there wasn't a post race EPO test.
1st and 3rd in the women's 800, were dudes.
