See if you can guess my mile from 2 workouts: one endurance, one speed.
Both of these runs were done in trainers, and alone.
3/14/16
7.74 MILE TEMPO @ 5:35 min/mile pace.
Warm temps, about mid 70s. The run has a few hills, but nothing crazy. Stopped at about a few stoplights, but also not for too long (max was about 1 min). For comparison, the last time I ran this run (last summer) I did at 5:44 pace (a couple weeks before running a 15:38 3 mile).
3/16/16
5x600 & 4x150
- 600s (2 min walking rest between each): 1:43, 1:43, 1:42, 1:44, 1:45 = Average of 1:43
(5 MIN BREAK)
- 150s (50m walk break): 23, 22, 23, 21 = Average of 22
Very hot temps, high 80s. On the track. One thing to note: 66% of each 600m interval was FACING THE WIND, so I'd estimate, in a balanced setting, I should take 1-2 secs off each interval?
Both runs felt very hard. I'd like to see if anyone could guess my mile (or actually 1600m, since I run that) and even 800m time if you want. Thanks.
