My BP has been high for a number of years - highest measured was 172/140 if I remember correct. Started taking medicine which takes the edge off a couple of years ago, but it only brings it to around 13X/9X. I recently bought a BP monitor and one can easily see after training BP goes goes to 17X/7X and then gradually increases again during the day. By evening it is back at 13X/9X.
I still train normally. I'm now 46, been on BP pills around 5 years. I'm relatively normal weight although I could probably loose 5 - 7 kg. My diet is probalby average, no fast foods, some fish, some meat, some vegies, I love fruit, some snacks such as chocolates, raisins, peanuts, dried fruit in between.
