Hassan Mead and Tom Farell have both come along really well under Coach Row. Besides Symmonds, Row seems to have had a tough time peaking his athletes. The 1500 and 800 guys had a terrible showing at USAs. Mead was the only OTC guy that made the team and bombed at Worlds. Casey had a huge 2014 but has struggled with injury since then. Injuries all of 2015 and was scheduled for some indoor races but had to pull-out. Completely agree with the posts about Jock. He's a 400/800 guy training like an 800/1500 guy.
One of the worst parts about it is how they hide their shortcomings and injuries as "waiting" in a sense. Like they down play everybody racing fast and well in the winter as them not having their priorities straight. Coach Row made a huge douchey post on the pointlessness of running world leads and calling it lazy journalism. Eff you guy! Some people are getting pay raises and huge benefits to their career by doing that. Many of those people running fast early will still make olympic teams. While you waited all this time to be sub par.
They act as if they're waiting until the outdoor season/olympics to show up and run well.
