Um, no.
Which four NOP men could even run 1,600 in 4:03 and 2,000 in 5:06 right now? (And which three could still finish a 3000 after that?)
Not RUPP.
FARAH isn't exactly "available."
Even if he could hold the pace, LEVINS isn't American.
CENTRO? No.
This race showed that BTC is the strongest distance track group in the US right now. Probably in the world.
This made no sense. At all. You ask which 4 NOP men could run the pace provided, and which 3 could finish a 3000m afterwards. You just named the 4 men who could run the pace provided, and among them, the 3 who aren't Rupp could probably finish the 3000m fairly well afterwards.
BTC, to be honest, is doing somewhat pitifully (the males at least) given its resources. With guys like Solinsky, Tegenkamp, Derrick, Hill, Jager, etc. I'm actually shocked that they never managed to medal at all in a World Championships/Olympics. Yeah, Solinsky and Tegenkamp are basically dead now, but while they were at their peak, they somehow never amounted to anything.
