Oregon looks to be a lock for team title
Oregon looks to be a lock for team title
And not to belabor the point, but N.Balance Indoor Nationals, NCAA's AND USA's all at the same time?!? I missed Hunters DMR anchor leg last night as I had the other 2 meets going back & forth. Idiotic decision by those in charge
Who are you angry at for placing all three (HS, NCAA D-I, and USATF) major US indoor national championships on the same weekend? It's different people, making decisions separately for reasons best for their constituents. It just so happens this is a good weekend for all of them.
Ronnie Baker of TCU with a low-altitude NCAA Record, 6.47!
Oregon women moving up fast in team rankings...
How good was Wynne in HS? I hadn't heard of him until now.

More points for Oregon men in the TJ. The rich get richer...

I caught up with him. He's a cool guy. Said he loves running the 4 x 400!! I think he said he split a 44.5, maybe it was 45.5.
https://youtu.be/gpnxrJIEVzcMen's 800 is coming up now. I think this is going to be the Clayton Murphy show.

Your taking the word tempo to literally. He ran 1 mile at 5k pace, and ended the race 30sec slower than his PB. Run a 5k 30sec slower, you will feel warmed up.. Not worn out.
As for your second point, nobody becomes content in a race. Especially somebody like him. He was outclassed, which is expected. I'm not arguing about his progression of he turns pro, I'm arguing that what he did last night in the context of his other perfmances, was a solid night at the office, not the "best double in history".
This is just stupid. Another lame LRC snert attempt to detract from a great performance.
You don't know what kind of max 5k shape he is in.
Do you know how few people in the NCAA can run a 4:16 mile?
And then finish off a sub 14 5k of any quality.
And then 28 mins later run a 3:52.8 ???
It is definitely in the discussion as the greatest double ever. That 28mins and change "recovery," almost every other suggested candidate for best double ever -- the recovery time is much more.
How many times have you run meaningful races with so little recovery.
To paraphrase Tommy Lasorda, "it ain't that effing easy."
Stones keeps referring to how slow the Birmingham track is, on the ESPN broadcast. What is he talking about?
Haha, the broadcasters are really trying to promote/defend racewalking right now.

No idea, the track seems pretty fast to me.
Also, when is Oregon going to get Cheserek a jersey that fits? Seems like he spends half the race adjusting it
Slow early pace. Ches to the front with 3 to go building a big gap
Ches wins in 8:00
