so so so sick. Cheserek must have split at least 353. It went like 27-55-then 60s all the way to the last lap. 28ish. my goodness.
That was like leader to leader. CHeserek got it behind. So maybe he split 352!!!
Right when the race started, I though tot myself, "Does he do it?" After seeing Rupp look mortal, I thought "No. But when he got right on them. It was amazing."
Wow!!!
Announcers saying 3:52.84 split for Ches.
Splits are up here:

352.84. 354 for Yorks.
Who ran for Georgetown?
The guy needs to just go pro, he treats NCAA championship meets like a high school dual meet. Zero competition for him. Unbelievable.
That was a great DMR.

yeah but the goal of racing is to beat people. Otherwise we would be doing bike TT type races. Running fast is a fun tactic but it is only one of a half dozen
washington women's 400 leg is beautiful

3:58 beats 4:08 every time, though you're welcome to think otherwise.
Big ups to Ucla for leading the DMR through the first 3 legs. Not much you can do though when you dont have a sub four miler and there's 3 guys under 3:54 to go against

Cheserek is a dick. Graduate, go home, and make your own nation's olympic team. He would have no chance then.

fvk that's funny - 12 titles and still going strong
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahah aha aha aha
Jesus christ Stanford's female dmr anchor was a trainwreck for the last 2 laps. Lookin like a broken marionette

I was going to ask this as well. I thought Ahmed Bile was running but I know they're lead fell. The splits had their anchor at like a 4:41 though....

It was Bile, he was jogging out in lane 4
Not a great day for the freshman phenoms. Maybe with more experience, they'll do better in the outdoor champs.

Yeah, that was cool. I was like WTF UCLA? Tough spot for Washington and Yorks. Washington coach would get less criticism if they won and Yorks would be a great guy for missing the mile for his team.
those are 1600s, and with a running start.
=3:54.4 mile for Cheserek and =3:55.8 mile for Yorks
not counting the running start of course. still fantastic to come back from 13:47 with a kick, 50 minutes later.
If Akela Jones had jumped any higher, would it have counted for NCAA open HJ record, or do multisport performances not count for open records?
Yorks performance at the Dempsey a few weeks ago was superior to this, but by no means did he shit the bed. It definitely looks like Ches' presence has gotten the rest of the Pac 12 to up their game. It was Washington vs UCLA for the first 3 legs and then Washington vs Oregon with Stanford coming up fast for the anchor.
Looks like the 3 most shitted-on distance programs of the last 5 years finally came to play. That being Washington, Ole Miss and UCLA
Yorks had no regrets after the men's DMR. He said the only option was to take it out hard:
