I'm thinking if she doesn't mature soon she'll be looking at a string of stress fractures. And, before you delete me, I'm not saying she has a problem, other than, well, her very small bone structure... which is obviously a stress fracture risk.

While from a distance I would agree that based on her sized compared to most young women in college she looks very young but when I saw her in person at NXN in 2014 I was taken back by how much older she actually looked based on looking into her face from about 10 feet. Seeing her in person, moving, and talking, she looked more mature to me than she had in pictures and video interviews prior to that time. She actually looked more like she was in the mid to late twenties to me. She definitely did not have the youth in her face that I see in most girls that are 9th graders and younger that I see at local races. Those with low body fact may actually look older than they are when they appear gaunt.
I am happy for her success. I hope she stays healthy unlike so many other runners mentioned here in the forum. It seems that many top high school runners struggle once that reach college. I am grateful if any runner can bring more interest to the sport from those that would otherwise pay no attention to the sport. I hope the early attention does not do more harm than good for Allie. She is her own person. I am not sure being labeled American's Next Running Phenom is good for her in the long term. It may be good for selling magazines. Hopefully it does not put too much pressure on her or cause other issues.
