I really like hearing this. The sprints are mostly Americans and Caribbeans, so it's a lot of fun to see someone who is neither of those mixing it up on the scene as a legitimate contender for at least bronze.

Although Bad Wigins has explained how times in the southern hemisphere are aided by the opposite spin of the earth, that would not be expected to improve 100m time since it is run in a straight line. In fact the runners would need to lean to the right to fight the pull so this time might be "worth" another 0.2-0.4 seconds.

I might have over-estimated the harm of the southern hemisphere "left pull" so but I accept as little as 0.15-0.30 seconds faster difference.

You are forgetting that the Earth is round. While the 100m may not veer to the right or left, it does curve downward. In fact it's basically downhill. Since the southern hemisphere slopes downward whereas the northern hemisphere slopes upward, you'd expect somewhat quicker times there.
