Working with any federation in a sponsorship deal where money is deposited into a blind account is ripe for graft. It happens with every federation that takes money.
Nike cannot control what happens to those dollars once deposited. You are incorrect in that foreign corrupt practices act applies to only government officials. Its a far broader scope, that actually has nothing to do with Nike giving money to a non profit federation that does not conduct business.
No shoe brand no matter the bid process for whatever sport has control on what happens with the contracted dollars. This is not a Nike thing or Kenyan thing its all brands who do deals with all federations.
The bottom line losers are the athletes. Dollars are meant to better the programs for athletes and give them the support they need to develop.
Athletes have little control on their destiny.
