You should ask vivalarepublica.
Hair loss means you produce a lot of testosterone (aka: a bigger d0ng). Embrace the ANABOLIC advantage god gave you.

No it doesn't. It has to do with testosterone conversion and androgen receptors.

Go with herbs and oils and exercise your scalp daily.
What kind of herbs and oils? Definitely want to do this .
Thanks, that explains why old ladies grow bald.

I'm a 17 year old senior and my hair has started receding. I'm a scrawny cross country/ distance runner with a buzz cut, so it doesn't look too good. It's screwing up my confidence and I'm not sure what to do. Anyone who has been through this care to give some advice?

Please ignore my husband in this and every other post he makes just like it: I have a fine lock, but he has a small key.
Grow out your back hair and pull it over the top!

People will scoff but DHT inhibitors and stimulants like essential oils do work for some people.
The only way you will know is if you try.
Saw Palmetto, Evening Primrose Oil and Peppermint Oil all help.
Peppermint essential oil diluted with a carrier oil is rubbed on to the scalp and you can leave it overnight.
It is important to use just a couple of drops. It will burn your skin off if you put it on straight.
It's always easier to halt loss than regrow..
Nizoral Shampoo also helps since the fungicide in it also helps with the DHT problem.
Wear a ball cap all the time. Have a couple newer ones for when you have to look nice. Nobody will ever know you're bald!
Can you grow a stubbly beard? Buzzing it at a #2 or shorter with a stubbly beard is your best bet.

If I could, I would. I can't grow any hair on my cheeks yet though. I still look pretty young
Some women look for bald men. In fact there is supposed to be something to the high forehead.
In addition women are not into just looks like men are. They like confidence and stuff like that. I think many only like cash!
Happened to me. Then I out-kicked the piss out of Chris Barnicle at Nike Outdoor Nationals in the 2 mile.
Check it out.
Shampoos can clog the scalp. Switch to a shampoo that does not have sodium laural sulfate or sodium laureth sulfate in it. The problem is that virtually all shampoos contain these soaps or a variation of them as one of the first ingredients.
Try Johnson's baby naturals shampoo. I started losing my hair at 28 and switched to a shampoo without these soaps in it and it stopped the hair loss. That was 40 years ago and I still have an almost full head of hair.
Don't wear a cap. The scalp needs to breathe. If you wear a cap all the time, it will speed up the hair loss.
Just to clarify my previous post, the soaps in shampoos aren't a problem for everyone. If they were, everyone would be bald. However, some people are more sensitive than others to the soaps clogging the pores in the scalp. Try the Johnson's baby natural shampoo, which doesn't have soap. If you can't find it, use Johnson's baby shampoo. It has a soap, but it's not the same as sodium (whatever) sulfate. You can also seek out the natural shampoos mentioned by another poster. Read the ingredients and avoid any shampoo with sodium laurel sulfate or sodium laureth sulfate.
It's the same with caps. Not everyone goes bald from wearing a cap, but it prevents the scalping from breathing.
Neil Peart feels you:
Been there man. It bothered me at first. I was a little self conscious when I was 19 and it was receding fast. Buzz your hair as short as possible or bic it.
The advice about special shampoo and oils seems laughable. I doubt that stuff works. Balding is genetic. My grandpa went bald at 20 and my identical twin brother went bald at 20 just like me.
My advice is embrace the baldness.
Have a sense of humor about. Be confident. That's all women care about. I never had any trouble with the ladies and I had plenty tell me they thought bald guys were super sexy.

It is genetic but the idea is to cancel out the predisposition. The actual balding process is pretty well understood so you're just trying to shut down that process.
