We are all dealt different circumstances in life. She is using an opportunity available in hers.
If you wish ill on her because she is likely to go to the Olympics and be a non factor near the middle or back of the field then you need look at yourself and get help.
There's no reason to wish her good. She has no loyalty to the country that gave her everything she has, so there is no reason we need to root for her.
You are correct on one part. You do not have to root for her. I just said not to specifically wish ill on her or slander her because of her decision. Although, maybe you could wish her good, or root for her, based on a factor that isn't as shallow and meaningless as nationality. Maybe watch or read some interviews with her and base the decision on that? your choice.
You are wrong that a country gave her everything she has. She herself has put in the work and earned what she has in the sport. And i'm sure family, friends, coaches, etc. have helped too. The US government did not spend taxpayer money to train her from birth to become a great runner, so I'm not offended that she doesn't have undying loyalty to a particular sample of 350 million humans that live in the middle of north america.
