this: not necessarily true about huge deductibles, but all the time off for tests and whatnot, that's one of the larger drains on finances in times like these. as far as Geoghegan and Brewer, I know one of them well enough, and I'm very certain they're not donating that much for the attention, so pardon me for praising them for the high dollar amounts, but they deserve it.One of my best lessons long ago was about giving properly to ppl I really care about. now there's zero prob w/ just tossing 20, 50, or 100 bucks lukes way, as most of us don't really know him. but the "give til it hurts" ethos makes it a little tougher to simply toss $100 and be "done with it." I've always had huge respect for those who give in such a way that it affects thing, i.e., they have to skip that new wheelset for their bike, skip that weekend in the mountains, etc. that's a great way to give to friends (again, doesn't apply to those of us who aren't actual buddies w/ LP), so kudos to them for doing so.

Most medical coverage these days have huge deductibles and when a young child is sick parents usually aren't able to work much( if at all) to attend to the child's medical needs.
