I guess that they now have to put a team together next weekend to qualify for NCAA.
Very good running this year in the DMR.
Michigan beat the school record (which had Willis, Brennan and Ellerton on it) and yet still came third this weekend...

Oregon probably needed to run another group anyway. Cheserek and Haney would have been subbed out anyway but Franzmair is out too and that is one sub too many.
It will be interesting to see who they ask to try run to qualify. They have to run 9:30.6 and will likely have to do it by themselves as Washington, Stanford nod UCLA are all qualified and won't need to compete.
Also it will be interesting to see if #12 Villanova sees the handwriting on the wall and tries to run faster. Jordy Williamsz does not have an individual qualifier at this point so he might be doing work at Big East.

...the in Villanova sees the writing on the wall, does Virginia Tech also see it?
With 1 team sitting uncomfortably close to the cutoff (11-VA Tech), and 3 teams all just outside the top 12 (14 - Notre Dame, 15 NC State, 16 Wake Forest), could we see an attempt to qualify at the ACC meet this weekend? Conference meets are known to go slow, but I think this could be a situation where teams try to go fast.
Will Syracuse also try to qualify?

Their school record was not on an oversized track
Don't even think Oregon should bother to try and qualify honestly. Chambers could win the open 400 Haney the mile and King Ches. Mile,3K,5K hell whatever he runs really. With franzmeir"spelling" injured and Oregon next fastest 800 runner maybe 4 seconds slower then him don't even bother or should I say I wouldn't even bother if I was the Oregon coach. I really hope NCAA indoors and outdoors for that matter is on anything but Flotrack honestly F Flotrack I shouldn't have to pay what 20 bucks a month to watch track and field honestly ESPN or the Pac 12 network should carry it or the Big 12 SEC network NBC hell anything but flotrack. Can't wait to hopefully? watch the Women's 800 Rodgers winning is a given but I really think Leblanc and Feldmeir can make it a 1,2,3 Oregon sweep :) GO DUCKS

Grosvenor ran a 1:49 in January. Yes, he's the team's weakest link, but Oregon could field a good team.
Their current "non qualifying" time is actually ranked 8th in school history, so their time is quite good (just not good enough).
I think that they will try to qualify.

I agree. I doubt they run Cheserek as it would mean racing 3 competitive races in 3 straight weeks which is not the Oregon way. Prakel needs another race to sharpen and Haney has only run once since January; so even if it's two weeks in a row, I bet he leads off with the 1200. I doubt that Chambers runs the 400 as he needs a better 400 time to try to improve his seeding. Grosvenor would likely run the 800.
Assuming that team can run a solo 9:30 (?). . . then prakel and Haney get subbed out at nationals. Winn and Gregorek didn't double in the mile and DMR last year and they were seniors. Someone like Maton or Gil or ? would replace them to try to score a couple points for the team competition. Lots of teams blow up at the DMR indoors; just running within yourself usually gets you points.
Oregon is definitely going to try and Q in DMR
They can even run Haney and Cheserek to solidify Q'er and then sub out whomever NC's are a ways foo after that.
as NCAA race goes, 9:30's will score..even if someone gets away they almost always back into the field from there,

Their school record was on a banked 200m which is indexed the same as an oversized track.

I doubt that 9:30 will do the trick. I think that they will have to go below that. In order to achieve that, I think that they need Ches to run the DMR.
Oregon has only run sub 9:30 six time in the history of the program. You can't really do that with your B team, running alone.
Trolling again, heh, John?
It will make an interesting race out of the DMR's this weekend!
you mean, Grovesnor?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_m8aLVpMxIlisten to the entire song, it's good. night moves, bro

I believe that a team can only sub out 1 runner, so if they use Ches and Haney then one of them has to run it at NCs
What's wrong with Franzmair now?
They will 100% go for it at the Mountain Pacific meet and they will load. They can't risk not qualifying and thus wasting efforts this close to nc's. Additionally, they'll need to load based on the simple fact that they need to fun so fast to qualify. It'd be hard to run sub 9:30 running a "b" squad, even for Oregon.
Prakel will more than likely lead off as Haney ran last weekend at Millrose. Chambers on 400, Grovesvenor on 800 and Edward the Great on anchor.
They would have easily qualified earlier in the year when they ran 9:30 had they not botched the handoff and wiped out on the 400 exchange.

Which means that we expect Virginia (and Syracuse) to also load up at ACC?
So Nostradamus was right: Haney, Thiel, Grosvenor, Prakel
https://admin.xosn.com/pdf9/4544910.pdf?DB_OEM_ID=30200&Looks like Cal is running a quality team. Hamilton, Joyce, the Cal JC 400 state champion and a 1:50/4:01 guy. Could be an interesting race
