Sorry, Alex-Tony-Maria
Going to bash you every step of the way. Unemployment is going to hit you kids hard.
Rupp was third American in 2015, almost finished fourth. No where close to 13 flat, let alone sub 13. Do try to keep up.
You must be logic-impaired or a troll. What difference does it make where he placed among Americans? The definition of world class is qualifying for the world championships.
1500 - 3:36 (done)
5000 - 13:25 (done)
10000 - 28:00 (done)
Marathon - 2:19
So how is Rupp not world class?

she's probably telling the truth, but in American timing, image, likeability and power are much more important than the truth. Her timing......the second she knew about it she needed to leave NOP and go PUBLIC. Image---her image was strong then, as was her likeability. Power, she was at the top of US Womans running and was very marketable and did have more power. All she has now is the truth(maybe). Look at the NFL. Brady is the cheater because of a few psi, Manning has HGH delivered to his wife(remember when Clemens blamed his wife) and Peyton is the victim.
I get your point, but don't bring the NFL and Manning/Brady into this. That's a totally different sport and doesn't (clearly) have the same commitment to fighting doping that the IAAF claims it has.
If Goucher would have gone public when she left, it would have meant a lot more to me. She does not strike me as a credible person and I would have a hard time believing anything she said without strong corroborating evidence. Even if it comes out that there is some truth in what she's saying, I imagine that we will find out that she is concealing her role. More likely, she is trying to promote insinuations into evidence.

Do you know how long LAnce fanboys used that defense?

Wow. We never knew that. You point being? Lemme ask you this. Which American has, other than ageless wonder 3:26 man Lagat. Lemme ask you one more thing, how many Olympic or world champ 5000 races has Rupp run where he was not doubling back from 10k? Now one last question how many Americans in the last 30 years qualified for bot the 5000 AND the 10000 at the same world championships or Olympics?
Rupp has done it multiple times and he has done it more than all the rest in the last 30 years combined because all the rest combined equals a big fat goose egg.
When it comes to Goucher I can't help but think of the line by Costanza in Seinfeld "...its not a lie...if YOU believe it". Seriously, I honestly think Goucher believes what she is saying and that she thinks what NOP is doing is wrong and unethical. I'm fine with that. All the more power to her for speaking out. There is just two problems I have with her: 1) She doesn't make the rules or set ethical guidelines for T&F and 2) None of her allegations, when looked at under scrutiny, show rule breaking by NOP. For those who have to hate Rupp and Salazar think of it as accusing Ted Cruz of taking bribes. There may be good reasons to hate Cruz and for all practical persons he is bought off. Its not a lie. But he hasn't done anything illegal.

Right after a marathon may be a bad time to give an interview and try to talk about anything substantive.
That said, I find it difficult to believe that she would be talking about this if there wasn't some truth in her allegations - so far, everyone seems to be siding with Rupp / Salazar, so it can hardly be for her personal benefit. It reminds me a little of the Christophe Bassons situation. But Bassons also had to go through many years as an outcast before he got vindicated - and I doubt NOP are going to repeat the USPS mistakes.
The way I see it, she knows for a fact that they cheated because she was in with them cheating. So I am waiting for her confession and actual facts layed out by her in how she cheated and got away with it.
Perhaps she is bitter because she got kicked off of the NOP juicing program and got 4th place knowing she would have made it to the Olympics if they had not done that to her ............ It's not fair that Rupp gets the juice but I don't etc. etc. .........................
Otherwise she has no actual facts, knows nothing, and should just shut up already and go away.
She needs to think before she speaks. When she talked about Rupp breaking the 10k AR two weeks after shutting down his season she said "it doesn't work that way." Actually, it does work that way - it is called "super compensation" and it happens right about two weeks after a hard season/training cycle ends and you do nothing but rest. What a coincidence that Alberto had him in a race two weeks after shutting down his season. Alberto is well aware of the super compensation effect. Kara needs to study some exercise physiology before making that kind of statement.

Super compensation effect? Huh?

Train extra hard for a short time period, then get an extra high peak.

Not saying it's a valid defense but yes "super compensation" is a common term

Scientific citation please? A common term or a scientific term?
There is little doubt in my mind that she knows something incriminating. The problem, however, is the way she is playing it. If she knows something but cannot elaborate, she should absolutely NOT be talking at all right now unless she is ready to cough up what she knows and put her cards on the table. "No comment" would have spoken just as loudly, but with keeping her on the high ground as well. This reminds me a little bit of how Floyd Landis was villified when he came out against Lance. It is unbelievable how much evidence and testimony was out there against Lance already that was not yet made public. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Lance_Armstrong_doping_allegations
It'd be interesting too see her commentary if she'd made the team. I suspect her words would've been less bitter.
wow. that video makes me cringe. she comes off as a sore whiny spoiled brat. whether or not what she is saying is true she is awful.
What has Kara alleged so far? She spoke about her own experience in detail. When she was contradicted she barely responded. With Rupp she just speculated - 'it does not work that way.' I am all for whistleblowers and encourage it but you need to get your story straight and be prepared. No one forced her to go to BBC.
At nationals last year she said she had nothing further on Galen, She may sincerely believe that Rupp could not have this success without PEDs but I am wondering if what she has to say is about the same as what Rohatinksy said - no evidence but Salazar is closest to Galen and it's for them hard to believe that Galen could ever medal.
