This girl seemed to care more about her training partner Shalene Flanagan than herself. I was kind of choked about it actually. She kept talking her through when Shalene was really struggling, pretty cool to watch. New big fan of Cragg.

With That kind attitude she will never do anything on the international stage

John Landy would diagree.
Bekele, Sihine, and Gebrselassie would like to disagree with that one too.
massive props to cragg for that. AND she wrought devastation on Desi as the latter tried to close the gap. it was almost comical watching people speculate about Desi actually passing cragg

I would think so too, this was about team work, loyalty between training partners.

She's married to Alaistar Cragg? Didn't he get caught for doping or am I thinking of someone else?
Really an impressive performance in more ways than one. Especially considering that Shalane has had many days of triumph, but this is by far the biggest for Amy.
Chatted with her years ago when she was with ASU, and I was struck with her aura of just plain goodness. Literally the win couldn't have gone to a nicer person.
Well spoken also. She made some money today!
This is certainly a much better teammate story than when Flanagan went to the front at the 10K final at the 2012 Trials to slow the pace so then teammate Lisa Uhl could tie her shoe resulting in Natosha Rogers hitting the deck and not having a shot at the standard. Hastings won that race in the end and Flanagan just ran the Marathon at the Olympics.
are you kidding? let me google that for you. his name was Cathal Lombard, and he's an utter douchebag. pretty damn sure that you'd never find Cragg (either of them) doing drugs, both standup people.

This is why I don't like watching woman sports. They are more about encouragement and not hurting others feelings instead of competing. The woman's race was unbearable to watch. Next time Cragg and Flanagan should hold hands together as they cross the finish line. What a feel good story that would be.

Then I would suggest that you tune into the W10000 final in Rio for the epic catfight of all time between Dibaba, Defar and Cheryouiot. It will dwarf all the other matchups.

...men or women.
I was a little surprised that the announcers didn't mention, and probably didn't know, that Amy and Desi were teammates and roommates at times at ASU.
