I heard 20:13 at 4-miles for men. It sure is nice to watch all the commercials.
How about we stop talking about how bad the coverage is. We knew it was gonna be bad. Lets accept it and just discuss the race. Otherwise this thread is pretty boring.
Watching via the app has made me hate Pandora jewelry no matter how lovely that model is.
I haven't read the prior 7 pages so sorry if a dup.
I'm liking the leaderboard at
The men are actually moving! Solid pace.

15:48 for first 5K.
He has said "literally" 8 TIMES IN the past 20 minutes
Who is the huge dude in the yellow and grey?
Anyone timing how much running NBC is actually showing as opposed to ads, interviews, etc.
Any predictions on what mile rupp will blow up in?
Has ISIS been beheading the statues in front of the LA Coliseum?
Is anyone else having a poor quality picture? I can barely recognize the runners.
Total Time: 5:04
Last Mile: 5:04
Projected Finish: 2:12:50 At the start the race had 166 men and 202 women lined up at the start. Temperatures were reported at 66 degrees and 50% humidity. This is about 15 degrees cooler than forecasts earlier this week.
2 Total Time: 10:13
Last Mile: 5:09
Projected Finish: 2:13:43 As the 2nd mile was clicked off, Nick Arciniaga running for Under Armor has taken a slight lead. He looks smooth but obviously still early. Meb, Diego Estrada and Tyler McCandless hung close with the rest of the field just behind.
3 Total Time: 15:13
Last Mile: 5:00
Projected Finish: 2:13:17 Meb leading the pack at 3 miles in an unofficial time of 15:13, 5:00 last mile. Ritz is off to the right in front of Matt Llano. Puskedra is in the back of the lead back and Rupp is tucked in the middle of the group. 5k is passed in 15:48 with Fernando Cabada taking the lead. Women are off!
4 Total Time: 20:13
Last Mile: 5:00
Projected Finish: 2:12:24
Fernando Cabada still leads by about 2-3 seconds. There are about 25-30 men in the main pack behind him. Looks like all the main players are still in the mix.
The screen seems to be cleft in twain, as if by some sort of black majick! What is this sorcery??
Diego looks fit sitting there in 3rd. I did not recognize him with the short hair. Now second.
Yep. Who's that in the lead?

Here's the race so far:
Mile 1: 5:04
Mile 2: 5:07 (10:11) Arciniaga gets a gap of a couple meters on the field. Closed down quickly.
Mile 3: 5:01 (15:12)
Mile 4: 5:01 (20:13)
Mile 5: 5:08 (25:21) McCandless slight lead
Timing site is a disaster right now, having to pick splits up off Twitter.

Yes. The lighting is very harsh. Tough for the cameras to keep up with the constant changes in direction/shadows/direct light.
