Walking out of a press conference is just poor class. Can't use emotions as an excuse, the guy comes across as a total sore loser, low-class player. Acting like a teenager

From the little I saw of the game what was he going to say? My team couldn't block for shit tonight making me look bad and not be successful? He didn't really have many opportunities it seemed to prove himself as his team as a whole were not playing well. I would have been upset too.
These interviews are pointless. Why interview the losing team at all. Talk to the coach maybe but leave the players alone.
In the end it's just a game. Losing doesn't feel good. What else are they looking for? Why keep him up there with stupid pointless questions?
What he should of said was:
He was proud of his team and the great season they had.
Denver has a great team and played well.
Denver's defense is especially strong and caused problems for them.
He looks forward to working with his team mates next season.
His team is young and has a lot to look forward to.
He looks forward to his coaching staff drafting some good players.
He learned something from this experience.
Instead he pouted like a 2 year old then walked off. Have to wonder if he thinks/feels any of the above.
Being grateful for the good things is important. Being an ingrate is negative. He should have thanked his team mates for the sacrifices they made all year to make this Super Bowl appearance possible.

This. Or plenty of other options as well.

Cam missed more than a few open recievers and bears a lot of the blame.
For starters, he could've complained that Carolina pays him less than Auburn did.
And then he could go steal another laptop.
I heard something a long time ago that went:
"You learn far more about a man when he is losing than when he is winning".

Did they not watch the New England game? They knew what was coming, they just couldn't stop it.
Did Brady walk out of his press conference blaming the O-line? Nope.
Who cares? It's just a game. The game and the interviews are just entertainment. The pathetic thing is that so many people pick on their every move in the first place. Just watch the game and go back to your lives. Why do you respect these guys anyway? It seems like he had possession of a stolen laptop in college. And Peyton Manning took his pants off and sat on a woman's face. In the end, they are just people with flaws.

I don't think taking a few minutes to make a post on letsrun.com means that people are pathetic or not going on with their lives. Nor does it mean anyone respects anyone else.
You are doing the exact same thing.
My post wasn't aimed directly at that guy. I'm just saying in general.

But doesn't it? Just lost a lot of respect for Cam Newton?
Haven't we seen this exact same type of childish behavior from Newton before? Wasn't he pretty much known for this shit a few years ago? Why should we expect anything different just because he and his team had a great season? Same person.
If EVERYTHING does not go Cam Newton's way this is how Cam Newton acts. Period.
It's funny you think that he did anything other than stay in character. You really believe the NFL is different than WWE? Cam has to pretend he was upset at the result as per the script. Great that it's working and that it makes you believe that everything that happened was real. Good story though...Peyton winning the 50th super bowl. Good story.

My guess is, his ego is so massive that he \'knew\' he would win and partied before the game.
Petulant front runner.
Just like Tiger Woods pre divorce.
Seems Bill Belichick acts just like this when he loses a big one, it's not unusual.
Isn't the whole "proud of the team, looking forward to next year, blah blah" just a giant facade though., there's no way in the world he, or anyone in his shoes, was p/would actually feel that way at the time. Why fake it? Respond with "this hurts, I don't have anything more to add" and leave,
Maybe tomorrow or next week it make sense to actually interview these folks, but after losing the Super Bowl, it's just silly. Why do you want any of these guys to follow your script?
I agree that Belichick would have done the same thing as Cam and I have no problem with that. They both do it because they know the loss is their fault, period.

I think, no. They didn't watch the NE game. I think they thought that NE blew that game. Carolina has no one with real experience and Kubiack can only tell them about it, he can't make them understand.
