I don't either, but not necessarily because he couldn't finish top 3 in the 10000. I just don't think that he can do it in a race where he has to hit the standard (27:45?). If it's a 28:20 race I think he still has enough wheels to get third.
Lagat has a better shot at the standard in the 5k, but the US has several excellent runners capable of 13:10. If Rupp is out of the 5k hopefully the race is not a jog fest.
