Yeah, this place sucks. I think I'll go murder someone.
WTF R U talking about?
They obviously found him through her computer or phone and she snuck out to see him. The kidnapping is probably a combo of taking her somewhere to commit a crime and the fact that she's underage. The fact that they found him so quickly tells me he wasn't trying to cover his tracks before the fact, so didn't go in intending to murder her. But I don't believe she simply died from her condition, I don't think they would have charged murder unless it was obvious from the body that she had been murdered. Plus I don't see how they would have found her body without him telling them where to look so I suspect he gave a full statement. It sounds like he also gave up the girl who helped him.

They charged him with first degree murder. Premeditation.
And this was all going down with the VT HS Premier Invite happening Friday and Saturday on campus

To the contrary:
"[Police Chief Wilson] said Eisenhauer has not confessed involvement in Lovell’s death and that he did not give police information that led to the discovery of her body. Instead, law enforcement found her remains through a series of tips, some of which came from law enforcement agencies and social media."
That's what I was thinking. That's a little early for Diff Eq right? Was it part of his Pat Bateman-like act exaggerating the level of math he was taking?

I knew a couple people that took Diff Eq in high school back in the early 2000s, for what it is worth. But one ended up at Cal Tech and the other MIT, so I suppose it is probably rare.

Is this a joke? I did differential equations as a high schooler in AP calc, public school as well. Majored in English FWIW.
This is the kind of guy who believes Earth is globe-shaped

First degree means intentionality -- he specifically intended to kill her. It doesn't mean he planned it for hours/days before hand. It could be as simple as deciding to kill her and then doing so a minute later. Premeditation can be evidence of specific intent to kill but it isn;t necessary to prove that he lured her out with the intent to kill her.

My mistake on assuming he led them to the body. This is just odd. What kind of tip comes from law enforcement that leads you to the body? If you're law enforcement and you think there's a body, then you go check it out, no?
There's something almost robotic and detached in the way he speaks about himself in the interview- he has a flat affect. He's definitely a narcissist, as well. Doesn't seem like a very likable or personable guy.
Police often release false information during ongoing investigations.

Many of you are so plugged into running that you may be unaware that the most infamous dog fight ringleader in US history hailed from Virginia Tech, Michael Vick.

The body was buried. There could be signs of digging that didn't seem suspicious at first, but became relevant when it became known that a search for a body was underway.

Other way around. They charged the girl so she would roll on him. They probably found him through his contacts on the kid's phone and/or internet history. Probably found the body by tracking his cell phone. He does not appear to be a criminal mastermind.
Maybe he needed to borrow her liver meds because of all the PEDs he was taking. Then she died without the meds and he would rather be charged for murder than come clean about PEDs.
