In 2014, he competed indoors but not outdoors. In 2015, he competed hardly at all (a little indoors and outdoors). Now he's not doing indoors in 2016.
So he's missed at least half of 2014, 15 and 16. Is he hurt? Focused on PR? Or being smart given he's 32?
I will have to admit he surprised us all by winning USAs outdoors last year but I'd think given how little he's raced in recent years, he'd want to get going again.
If he makes the US team for Rio, I'll have to hand it to him but I think we'll look back at the end of the year and realize he pulled it out of his *** last year and got lucky and the writing was on the wall.
He had a knee injury that kept him out of competition in 2014.
The uninformed drivel you deigned to spew in your post is exactly what everyone was saying of him last year when he was running 1:47 for 800m and in the 3:40's for 1500m leading up to USA's and we all know how things ended up working out for him (hint hint, yet another USA title to add to the collection).
It's January, why you think NOW is a good time to start ruling Nick out as a legitimate competitor baffles me. Symmonds has stated multiple times in the past that indoors isn't his thing. Olympians don't pull anything out of their *****s, they produce exactly the results that they trained (harder than you ever have or will) for.
But screw him for being intelligent enough to venture out and be more than just a guy who runs in circles for his livelihood right? I guess starting a successful business and fighting for the rights of his fellow professional athletes are both complete wastes of time huh? Good lord you're moron.
