I do not have the energy to find it, but last night in reading the NOP release about Centro, Hasay, and Shannon running the Portland Indoor meet, Alberto talks about his groups running several workouts on the track. In particular he said he had to "reign in" Galen because he was running too fast, to which Galen attributed the overall fast nature of this new track. Galen said it was easy to run fast on.
If Galen were to run the marathon trials in less than a month, do you really think he would be running fast intervals on an indoor track? To me this clearly means he is gearing up for an indoor campaign and intends to run indoor Worlds.
That being said, a friend wondered if he were doing tempo effort stuff specific to the marathon, or mots of mile repeats indoors. If the weather were nasty, maybe he does take 6-8x mile inside. The "running too fast" could certainly be in reference to that type of effort. Back in 2012 he did a 6xmile with 10x200 workout indoors for Flotrack so it is not unheard of.
Not sure how this adds anything to the Trials rumor mill, but I don't think Galen runs it. If he does, he has only done a few longer runs and maybe extra tempos and hopes on race day his overall fitness takes him to a spot on the team.
