Failing 3 classes in one semester takes a lot of not giving a single f*ck. You didn't go to class and you just got stoned all semester.
Maybe your friends get high, drink a lot and do as you say "a little cocaine" but that isn't the overall student body.
Your girl is just using you for trips to the US, she has a guy back at home.
Even if you just went to class while high or drunk you could have pulled out a C.
I would offer to pay for college after you spent at least a year working a crappy min wage job at a fast food place, gas station or similar.
Stop blaming you parent. They care about you or they wouldn't have told you theAe things. Your girlfriend seems like a bad influence and you stated she snuck off to your bed and that is fine since you are adults except it is not ok because it was in you parents home and you guys didn't respect your parents enough to just not sleep together one day. That's selfishness man. My best advice is pull yourself together you are an adult not a little boy and get your priorities straight or you will end up on the wrong path and have a lot of regrets. You are in college be have an opportunity to succeed take advantage of it. The allowance was their money and out of the goodness of their heart they put it into the account to help you!
Troll alert!!
If not: " it's not like we're not both adults", then I guess one of you needs to go out and pay for their own college like most people do. Maybe you could get your girlfriend to do it. After all, you paid for her vacation.
WAAAAAA!!!!!
crybaby looser !!!!!
Tell your parents that it isn't your fault. Say "I am who I am because of you." Keep doing what you are doing and stay strong. Mooch off your parents for as long as you can. The girlfriend will follow as long as you have money.
Things to tell your parents
1. They are irrational.
2. I am a fully grown man.
3. I don't need a job, careers are just a 21st century invention.
4. It's to tough to leave my girlfriend because she performs real well.
5. Running has to be the first priority.
6. I am entitled to your money.
Follow my advice. Don't listen to these people on here to "stop feeling so entitled."
Both my daughters while they were both in prestigious, expensive private schools, partied too much, went on academic probation, were suspended. I (we) cut them both off, they enrolled in junior colleges then had to take out loans for lower priced colleges when they finally wised up. I helped a little financially but the responsibility was on them. And they were both very smart, just didn't have any significant work ethic, wanted to have things handed to them. Probably partially my fault, as I didn't have the influence I needed to have as my wife and I got divorced when they were in early HS. Long story short, now they know what its like to actually work for something, and take responsibility for their actions, and the consequences. Best thing your parents can do for you just what they have done. They pay the bills, they dictate the behavior. They don't, and you screw up........too bad. Sorry bro.

$1000 a month in allowance. ..I did use some of that money to buy alcohol and occasionally weed or cocaine. .. I paid for my girlfriend's plane ticket to the Dominican Republic for her vacation with her friends.
..she snuck off the couch and slept in my bed with me. .. my girlfriend was arrested last year for a dui. ..
... I was pulled over for drunk driving. I did not get arrested however because my father knew the police officer and he just called my dad to come pick me up. But now my parents just sat me down and told me that I am absolutely 100% cut off. .
It is THEIR money, not yours (and a ridiculous amount at that). They are giving it to you to get an education, not spend it on Dominican hookers and coke. A "normal" college student does not routinely break laws (substances, dui, prostitution, etc)
Driving drunk is the equivalent of walking down a street in town blindly firing a shotgun. You might not kill anyone, but then again, you might. I assume the police officer was bribed, because he did not do society any favors letting you go.
When you have to earn something for yourself, you'll learn to appreciate it. In the mean time, your gold digging girlfriend will probably move on and you'll hopefully end up at a community college working at McDonalds.
Troll or not, you are a self absorbed and self entitled loser.

Honestly, yes I did use some of that money to buy alcohol and occasionally weed or cocaine. But it was nothing beyond what you'd expect from a regular college kid.
But it's not like we're not both adults.
:(
I feel like I'm being persecuted here when reallly I'm just a regular college kid.
I know I probably sound whiny
Please, I'm desperate.
Lot's of great material here. I really hope you get the grade you deserve from this research project.
My bro was worse than you. same thing happened and he joined the Marines. Needless to say, he's a man now. And could kick my ass.
I'm fairly confident since op hasn't responded that this is a troll, but I'll give a short response anyway. I'm in the same situation as you, in college with girlfriend, drink on the weekends, some weekdays, occasionally do a line of blow, and probably smoke more weed than you. The difference between us is that I have a 3.6 gpa in the honors program at my school as a chemical engineer in a decently respected program. I f my grades started to sliip, the first things to go would be the substances. To those of you who don't believe the average college student isn't a substance user, well you're flat out wrong, especially alcohol. But the average college student is maintaining better than a C average, and definitely isn't failing 3 classes in one semester. My friend failed one class twice and his parents cut him off. Some people can do it, some can't. You are obviously in the latter group. Take responsibility and grow up.

Pretty obvious so many posters figured it out, but many more did not and that makes it even more delicious. Nice job!

How much cocaine is a "normal college kid amount" of cocaine?
Dude - you are so far from a normal college student that it makes me sick to read. I work for a D1 school - so I'm aware of students and their situations. You need to get your freakin' act together.
The average college kid does not do cocaine
I surmise a fair percentage indulge in weed, but I would put a guess that the majority (>50%) don't, in which case the average college kid doesn't do weed either.
The typical college kid indulges in beer/booze, but the average college kid does not have a DUI. Heck, the average college kid doesn't even have a car
Yeah.. Unfortunately I'm going to have to agree. Maintaining a 2.8 gpa is very simple. I currently have $500 in my bank, and that will last me until May when I graduate. Mind you I have to pay for my own groceries. So having $1k a month seems to me like you were given an unbelievable amount, and you've pissed it away.
My only advice is to get your shit together and get a job. That's ridiculous that you've been given so much and just took advantage.
I haven't read the responses yet, but so far I heard "I feel like I'm being persecuted here" in conjunction with:
- failed 3 classes in one semester
- couldn't maintain 2.8 GPA
- get's $1000 a month in return for absolutely nothing
- spends said money alcohol (fine), weed (eh), cocaine (c'mon, man)
- was driving drunk and didn't get DUI because of dad's connections
Honestly man, my advice is you should be extremely thankful for the family situation you lucked into.
