This may seem like an odd question, but I'm quite curious to hear, especially from guys who are past college life. How many nights per week on average do you do something social? How many nights per week do you just stay in or do something by yourself? What is your optimal amount?
I ask because I've been going out and doing something almost every day lately, and it's totally draining me. People often think I'm weird though.
How many nights per week do you do something social with another person/other people?

I'm married w/o kids, so I'll assume hanging out with my wife in the evenings doesn't count. So, I would say once/week, on average. I'm a homebody....I like staying in and relaxing more than just about anything else.

I am a busy adult, so I would say I truly socialize (not work related) once or twice a month.

0-1 nights per week. My personal preference would be far closer to zero than one.
Me: Do you want to just hang out together at home tonight?
Girlfriend: Yes.
Me: Cool. I'll get the bong.
This is representative of about 80% of my weekends. -
I am married with three kids and I will typically go out with my wife and some friends two or three times a week. Friday is usually something at a friend's house (with kids) or meeting at a restaurant like Mellow Mushroom, while Saturday is date night (75% of the time we go out with other couples). I will usually sneak in something social one other night during the week, sometimes with kids and sometimes just with friends.
I have a lot of friends whose kids are friends with my kids, so it is really easy. Whether it is just going to lunch and a park or taking the kids somewhere to dinner (beers for the dads), it makes it fun for everyone.
It can be draining, though, so I don't do much during the week and every once in a while my wife and I will just chill at home. -
A lot depends on where you live. In Manhattan, and probably a lot of Brooklyn at this point, you're pretty much expected to go out every night because, you know, that's why you're there.
But I also lived in a small Connecticut town where nothing was open after 6 p.m., so...I was in. -
Probably 1-2 nights a week doing something with people other than my wife.

I go to orgies 3 days a week, and I'm drained.

Yeah, those old white dudes drain my energy too. But hey, I love it! -
Twice a week. One is actually hosting people over and the other is going out.

See you tonight. -
Nights per week? Fewer than one.
Mornings per week? More than 5. Two different running groups.
I don't miss the nights, mainly cuz I am married w kids now, and the main reason I would go out was to meet a girl...
I also don't drink anymore...not sure if the chicken or the egg came first, tho... -
Once a month. I don't enjoy other people that much.
-
If you don't include my family, 0.1785 times per week. That is equal to about once a year. I'm not that social.
-
Dude, she's a keeper if she'll do that.

You can't take these things out of context.
Some of us work years and years to have a few years of social bowling strikes, when things are harmonious and rich. Sometimes, we are lazy and sometimes we are active but just doing research. Some seasons, people can be friendlier. -
Check your math, dude.

Pretty much zero. Maybe once a month. Even at races I usually go by myself and leave right after the race and/or cool down. It is nice to have an actual conversation with someone but most of the time they're shallow and a waste of my time.

I don't really socialize much...

Call me weird but I don't count running as a social activity. Yea I run with people and we talk, but I would run anyway, even if they weren't there. Their presence just makes it more enjoyable.
To me a social outing is like a date, dinner/drinks with friends, or some other outing like that, so I'd say 3-4 times a week... other than that I'm watching Netflix or COPS with my roommates.
