I'm a junior on scholarship at a small D1 school.
I'm generally tired of competition, hard practices, and I am dreading the start of practice for indoor season. Last winter I was in great shape and training hard, but I got burned out by March and had to redshirt Outdoor season. My motivation has never been the same since.
My coach has a history of driving away runners as we haven't had a male runner graduate still on the team since 2013 and won't have one graduate this year.
My normal schedule consists of workouts Mon, Wed, Sat (if we don't have a race) , strength training Tuesday and Thursday, and a long run on Sundays. It is exhausting as you rarely recover for the next workout and are dead even if you limit your miles on two a days (Tues & Thurs).
Also I'm receiving a decent scholarship (about 40% of tuition) and currently have no way to make up that money. I'm on the hunt for scholarships now.
Anyone been in a similar situation or have thoughs on what I should do?
