It's phenomenal how much personal hatred people on this website have for Farah, Rupp, Salazar, and co.
Yea, they push the limits of what's legal (and maybe beyond), and certainly aren't my favourite athletes, but I find myself rooting for them simply because of how much hate they get on this forum. The jubilation that people on this board exhibit with any NOP failure is revolting. Why are you guys so personally invested?
Besides the above, "FARAH GOES HOME DEVASTATED" - pretty sure that wasn't the tone of his post-race interview. "SMOKED BY" - lost by two seconds over 8km. Even the quote everyone keeps saying about Mo complaining about the wet grass and being unable to sprint is taken completely out of context. If you actually read the interview you would see that he admits that everyone had the same issues out there.
Bottom line is - Farah just came off of a season where he further cemented his status as an all-time great. And sorry, before the arguments flow in, 2 Olympic Golds, 5 WC Golds, and a WC Silver certainly make him an all time great. He came second in a relatively insignificant XC race in January of an Olympic Year. Sure, it was a great race by Heath and I'm sure Farah would have loved to win, but it means F&@K all in the grand scheme of things.
