Everyone went out in like 1525-7 including the leaders. They didn't start pushing till later in the race and two packs form with the guys going faster and the guys being paced by pennel which did an awesome job btw.

Yes, he ran faster in the rain there than he did on the "aided" nationals course.
Way to hold someone's youthful mistakes against them for life. Ever hear of forgiveness, Christian? Kevin probably contributes more to the world that a gaping bilehole of negativity like yourself.
How come we area supposed to honor those who make "youthful" mistakes as some kind of hero because he runs fast (probably with a little sauce too)?
Millions of people manage to go through life without peddling drugs AT ANY point in their lives. Kevin did contribute a lot of misery and heartache to those who bought his drugs. I doubt he gives one though about those who's lives he ruined.
And he's a big cry baby.
No one is asking you to "honor" anyone. A few people are interested in Kevin's results because he's 43 and still running at a very high level. You're trying to make something out of nothing.

What happened to fam?
? Was not listed on results...seemed to be in good form from his workouts listed on twitter
look in the boys 11-13 results. Apparently an 11 year old named Andrew Chambers ran 1:23:16 which is 6:21 per mile. Did her break and age group record. However, it says 5k split was 36:41, so I am thinking that it is his 10k split instead. Either way, is he the next Ryan Hall? Discuss
Just checked the age group half marathon records here. http://www.arrs.net/SA_HMar.htm. Apparently he broke it by almost a minute!! Did a quick search on him but couldn't find any other results in track or xc of him. Giving him the benefit of the doubt that he isn't an age cheat like Verzbicas or a doper, this is perhaps the most impressive performance from someone of his age ever. I would put this up there with Ryan Deak's 9:23 2 mile in 8th grade. Assuming the kid isn't a burnout, he is on track to run even faster. (I was around to see the Assummas and the Torres and anyone else you want to mention since the 70s. I also followed youth road running, track, and cross country very closely because I was the coach of a freshman team so I knew all the big names very well)

Let's not discuss an 11 year old boy....
Age 11- 1:24:10, looks like a new record. Age 43 1:03:12http://www.arrs.net/SA_HMar.htm

Was Pennel pacing?

Does this qualify as a bad result for CD? Ignoring time, he was beaten by two B level American guys he would normally destroy on the track. Time not great relative to debuts by guys like Puskedra and Estrada.
Cabada is B level?!
In any case, Derrick was probably just running to qualify
I was thinking the same thing. FC has been training hard for quite some time now. He's currently been training at high altitude in Mexico. Good things are coming his way.
So you guy are just going to ignore this and talk about Cadbada again. Seriously think about the potential.

I couldn't help but notice that Richard Flynn ran a 1:04 and remembered this article that you may want to check out...

Nice run by Ashley ,Brasovan. Another heartbreakingly close finish for Zola Gomez. She is a class act.
This seems worth the Brojos calling out on the front page or WTW. Good for her.

Also he is the face of EPO-Boost, though that appears to be a legal performance enhancer.
https://epoboost.com/ricky-flynn/Why is nobody talking about Jon Grey here? After leading XC Club Nats the entire race and just getting caught and out-kicked by Heath and then dominating today's race there needs to be some serious discussion about him being a contender in the Trials marathon.
He was with the pack at 10K and then dropped the hammer between 8-9 miles.
His 10K split was 30:29, which means that he averaged 4:41 pace from there to the finish.
He's only been in Boulder since August training under Lee Troop and obviously the change has been good for him. Today was only a workout for him. Watch out for this guy in L.A.
Jon dropped some sub 440 miles toward the end. Guy is in monster shape.
He probably didn't want to mess up the pack early and waited till others went
Will the trials be his first marathon? If so, maybe that's why nobody wants to talk about him.
On this note, with the large number of runners in the trials seemingly coming via the half route, how do people think that plays out at the trials? Any of the half guys really a threat? Higher than normal drop-out rates? Or just a normal distribution of good/bad/indifferent races at trials for the half qualifiers?
How does 26 sub-1:05 compare to those packed Japanese races?
Also, as good as Castille's time is, if you double it, it is still well behind the supposed "world best" for masters.
Sara Slattery misses by :07. Ouch.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
