Wrong. BMR for athletes, especially elite athletes is way, way higher then standard BMR. It takes a lot of calories to maintain the lean muscle mass and especially the cardiovascular system Hasay has built. The fitter you are, the higher BMR you have.
Dude its literally the exact opposite....the elite is far more efficient, BMR, is just what the body needs doing absolutely nothing....with a resting heart rate of 40 something....the calories burned is a lot less to keep the blood flowing when the body is at rest after doing marathon training...the same is true for running, she is obviously an efficient well trained runner, so running 1 mile is a lot less calories than the lady at curves who is 50 pounds over weight...moving 100 pounds a mile is a lot less work than 150 pounds, especially when that person is an especially efficient runner... the more you run the less calories you burn to run, and to do anything else for that matter.
there is no way in hell she eats 5000 calories a day...
