no
She will have a better year than 2015. I hope good enough to make the olympic team but it will be tough! Looking forward to watching her get back at it.
Who has a better chance of making the olympic team: Sarah Brown or Mary Cain? Obviously there are others but just tossing the question out there.
Done.
Sarah Brown is pregnant.
That was the point.... she is pregnant but has been seriously training with the hopes of making the olympic team. She had the US #3 early last outdoor season with 4:03.XX before slowing upon getting pregnant. She is due in March and has about ~15 weeks before the trials which would be a VERY quick turnaround, but you never know. If you check out her social media profiles and blogs, seems like training has been going well.
Both are huge question marks.

Mary Cain already had her breakout year. She's done for a while. She'll most likely come back to form and be a world beater, but it's going to be YEARS before that happens. 2020 will be her first Olympic team.
About the same as Sarah Baxter
I was a big fan, back in the day. But Mary Cain is over. I said that nutty Salazar would destroy her, and I was right. But it is not just Salazar. Cain has adjustment problems (didn't run with her HS team), and she has TOO many options. Had running been her only option, then she would have taken a running scholarship, and then would have been in the real world. Another example is Lukas Verzbicas. Too many options for an 18 year old kid. Hall is another example, and another is Webb. All of these folks should have taken their knocks in the rough and tumble of college life and competition.
King Chez has his head on right, however. Running was all he had, and he is coming back his senior year, as he doesn't want to let it go.
Interesting theory, this one. It actually makes a lot of sense to me, but anyone have any idea why that might be the case -- physiologically, mentally, etc.?

Reposting bc I forgot to "quote" the previous post --

She will make it as a competitor for the Rio Olympics. She may now win any metal, but she will have a great time. To quote Cain, "damnnnn!"
