I'm not sure if that is directed at me, but I'm not Lee! He is almost ten years older and an inspiration. I do hope to climb in Maple this spring...I've only been once and didn't get to climb in Pipe Dream, though I saw it and it looks like my style of climbing (long and steep).
I've noticed that most of the older guys who climb hard do do on steep endurance routes where endurance, pacing and technique prevail over finger strength and power. These routes are a bit more forgiving in terms of injuries, I think.

Now of course I will have to get back out on the rock after reading all this......but first I have to upgrade my 35 year old gear, obtain some friends, upgrade my 20 year old rope, and my shoes. Still have my original Boreal Fire' climbing shoes, which got me up a nice piece in the high sierra that I couldn't do with my EB's hahahaha way back in the early 80's. Not much rubber left on them but hey I'm cheap maybe I can get them resoled. But back to the climbing gym first, given the lousy New England weather (at least today's).
