In the woods - dead woman, mid 40's. Notified cops, and was questioned, obviously. She was likely murdered, and the top suspect died a year or so later, so - case closed.
I've seen plenty of wildlife, including grizzly bears on several occasions... sometimes with cubs. They never gave me any troubles.
I was sprayed by a skunk one time, while running down a back alley in the dark and almost tripped over a porcupine, while running along a single-track trail in a park at night, without a headlamp.
Another time, I was charged by a bull moose and had to run into the woods, which were dense enough that the moose couldn't easily follow because of the impressive span of its antlers.
One night, when the temperature was around -25, I saw some teens screwing in the back of a car that was parked along a cemetary road.
I found nearly $8 in quarters in one spot on the road, once.
Just loose coins lying in the road, no bad, no container...nothing.
This is good stuff. Let's keep it coming.
Once in a clear sunny day I saw a distinct bright object far away in the sky. I looked at it for a good 3 seconds, puzzled, and when my eyes looked down for a second it was gone. I don't believe in alien aircraft, but whatever it was was pretty strange.

I run at deer path and Washington crossing and never seen that going on. guess I run at the wrong time of day
Freshman year of college a group of 5 or so of my teammates were out on a run on some back road. A car drove by us and a girl came out of the sun roof and flashed us. I was immediately hooked on the running thing. Unfortunately that was the closest most of us got to any action that year. #runnerDorkProbs. Got flashed again 4 years later by a girl tanning by the river.
A girl asked me if I wanted a BJ so I stopped running and got it (it was a damn good and sloppy one). Then she asked me to stick it inside her but neither of us had a condom so I ran away instead. Glad I did. Good day that day.

Saw a bear and mountain lion on same run. Coyotes, bobcats, rattlesnakes, saw a cotton mouth snake when I almost stepped on it! Found a big chunk of obsidian on a run on the northern California border, went back with my car to get it and it's almost twice as large as a football. Saw a redtail hawk on a trail eating a snake in Oregon. Just looked up sideways at me as I tip-toed around him. Found some odd cash $5 here $10 there and $20 once or twice. Saw an athletic and pretty woman wrestling her boyfriend down in Seattle at Green lake - she was stunning too so he probably let her. Recently on a run I kicked something on the ground. Went back to take a look and it was a sizable back of devil's lettuce. Impulse was to take it home and I still have it in my drawer. Really not sure what to do with it because I don't partake. Might have to gift it to some homeless person or something.

If I may ask, what school do you coach in the Modesto area? I competed in the Sac Joaquin Section and recently graduated.
Ran past a large city tree-cutting truck on my usual dirt road route, with 2-3 guys standing around outside of the truck (not doing any work), and the loud moans of a woman getting nailed coming from inside. Looked up and could see evidence of some action (legs up in the air). It was bizarre; don't know if the guys outside the truck were waiting their turns, or just keeping watch.

Heading north in upper Manhattan through grass along the Hudson, before bike path was built. Stepped directly on a rat commuting between the riverbank and Harlem. It let out a big squeak and my shoe wobbled as it squirted out from underneath. Saw it keep on going toward town. Rats could train helluva tough, I bet.
Troops of emaciated runners with non-existent muscle mass running endlessly in pursuit of quenching some inner neurosis.
Not me, but a friend of mine was coaching at Columbia back in the 70s. He was out on a run with a woman. They were passed by a streaker - meaning a guy running naked.
The kicker is my friend recognized the guy as a member of the track team he was coaching. I think the guys waved and said, "Hi, coach."
I met that guy. He didn't spare anyone, including innocent 6 year olds.
