But honestly, I find it difficult to come up with really good candidates. Serious runners, perhaps especially the ones who might characterize themselves as professional athletes, tend to be pretty self-involved. A couple of posters have mentioned Meb and Wesley Korir, but neither would be eligible under the Constitution.
Edwin Moses seems a reasonable choice. Delano Meriwether might be my top pick. Among current professional runners, I really don't know.
