Here is the terrain she cut her chops on:

About 6K took her over 50 minutes, but was under the old course record.

Fatties galore.
Why does Allie O look 12?
Its freaky
She lost??
To a pro mountain runner. She was also recovering from a hip injury (which kept her out of Brooks PR 2-mile). She went on to win World Jr Mountain running champs.

Look up the winner, Emelie Forsberg. I never heard of her- but she is a very impressive athlete.
PEDS?
Typical LR...first 3 posts are annoying comments on "looks". Jealous HS'ers I guess.
Thanks for posting this, that was fun to watch. Allie O. is tough, I am looking forward to see how she does In NCAA track this winter.
The steep run down on the rocky trail looks like it could result in a nasty injury and Emelie Forsberg looked absolutely fearless the way she ran down. I wonder what her track times are.
Usually people who are good at this are slow on the track. Like racing a Caterpillar D-9 against a Formula 1

Two comments:
Props for the winner wearing gardening gloves. I wear them to run often (a glove's a glove after all).
Allie Ostrander looks at least 5 inches taller than she was last year. I think this will help her since she seems to be maintaining the same build.
Absolutely amazing that way the winner flew down the hill without breaking ankle. I'm not getting whati is so tough about AO based on this performance. Stupid for risking her professional running career is my reaction.

Emelie Forsburg runs in the mountains with her boyfriend Killian Jornet. Doubt she is going to be running any 10ks on the track in the near future.

Emelie Forsberg has received the same question in interviews and claims that she has run 10 k twice on roads, clocking 38 minutes and 36 minutes. So currently she runs in about 36 minutes I'd say. This is also what the very interesting Wikipedia article says.
And Allie will run 32 minutes this spring (or at least a 15:30 5K)

Yeah it really is, I find it disturbing
Also disturbing how she slid down the ice intentionally

I find it disturbing that pople find that kind of stuff disturbing. She's a local so she probably know that kind of terrain quit well, and she's young, so she goofs around a bit. Let het have some fun.
Hell, I'm 45 and I do similar stuff in some trail runs. Live a little.
